Welcome, the internet, to my very special blogsite. You are special too.
Thanks for visiting. In this site, I'm going to talk about stuff that interest me on a personal level: music, technology, culture, faith, sneakers, beer, gaming. Not necessarily in that order.
You know, being let go from a job is never great, but I'm hopeful that good things will come out of this. I'm hoping that the first good thing is this site.

Cesar, so sorry to hear of your misfortunes. It's a crazy world out there right now. I think a lot of people in the Zune community truly love what you have done for us as Zune owners and will miss your updates. Best of luck in your future endeavors.

Cesar, thank you for all that you've done for the Zune community. I'm sorry to read that you've lost your job, but I know that you will excel in whatever you put your heart, mind and hands to next. Best of luck to you.

Damn shame, Cesar.. you were a massive positive force for the Zune team, Microsoft is ill-considered in this move.
ReplyDeleteYou will be sorely missed and knowing your high-energy devotion, will come out on top of this. Enjoy your time off, I know we'll be hearing more from you in the very near future.
Best Regards, David Batt
I'm sorry to hear that Cesar, best of luck in your new adventures.
ReplyDeleteYou became a family member! Many of us have "adopted" you as a brother or cousin.
ReplyDeleteI wish you good luck and hope that some good Zune user will make you a great job offer!
May God bless you Cesar. You did a great job at the Zune team and I hope somebody will see that and offer you a job.
ReplyDeleteGood luck Cesar!!! I'll add your blog to my short list...
ReplyDeleteIm sad to see you go. I have enjoyed your podcasts. And though you probably have no idea I am on your zune friendslist and even though we seem to share totally oppisite tastes in music I still am interested in seeing what you're listening to. I hope to hear more from you on this blog. Good luck to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteHey man, I wish you the best of luck going forward. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will take you far man.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless!
Good luck Cesar. I'll always remember what you taught me: diet and exercise!

OMG Cesar I was so shocked reading this today. Thank you for everything you did. I was a new zune user once and your support for the platform helped me. I listened to the podcasts, was active in the forums, and just kept learning. Being a mac user I could have given up on the zune but continued using it because it is a great device. Hard to believe with the reported losses and you gone.
ReplyDeleteHi Cesar,
ReplyDeleteGlad I had a chance to meet you in Hollywood. I've been let go and it always seemed to be a blessing in retrospect. Ok cheers from Nate Webb.
Cesar, this is John from NYC. I will be tuning into your blog. You rock, and are the coolest. That won't ever change. See you in cyberspace.
ReplyDeleteWow, bad move on Microsoft's part. I'm a huge fan of the Zune and what it does for its community, but this really goes against that grain. You were, to some on this social, a HUGE part of that community.
ReplyDeleteKeep up your spirits and look to a brighter future. I wish you the best and I will be following your blog on a regular basis.
PS: Will we ever know what you had for lunch?
I am speechless....I loved talking to you and watching the podcast. I was so excited to meet you at the vegas party! Well good luck with everything and I know you will do great!!!

Firing someone who has become the acknowdleged public face of a product community is... well... its a stupid thing to do. Hopefully someone else out there will recognize his talents and pick him up quickly.
ReplyDeleteAh Cesar, you will be missed. I hope the best for you and your future. I'm going to miss hearing your Zune Insider podcasts.
ReplyDeleteWill miss you on the Zune Insider podcast. Glad you have left this trail for us to follow you. Best wishes.
ReplyDeleteWow Microsoft messed up bad. Well at least on this blog you are free to talk about anything you want. Still gonna miss your Zune updates. :(
ReplyDeleteI think clearly the Zune is going down the tubes with these moves. I really thought MS was going to give Apple a run for the money. Alas, not to be.
ReplyDeleteI feel ya, Cesar... I lost my job just about 2 weeks ago because the parent company actually shut down my whole division. It's a shock, and it's strange; I felt out of place in the world for a week before I snapped out of it and got networking.
ReplyDeleteAnd like Dan a few posts above, I'll gladly extend my network to you. Hit me up at my e-mail. Networking got me some freelance work that's paying the bills while I contemplate my next move.
I hope you're back on track ASAP man.
Hey Cesar, You're still ok! I really enjoyed your posts and podcasts. Thank you for all the work you did at XBox and Zune. Keep up the faith and you will land somewhere. I wish you the best.
ReplyDeleteGlad to find your blog, have missed your writing!
